Academic requirements for the students
HuMSIRC has implemented Academic Quality within its exchanges. Students are encouraged and expected to fill out the logbook of their own NMO. If students do not have a logbook we will provide a digital copy of our own version and expect students to complete it in order to gain their end of exchange certificate.

To obtain the SCORE certificate:

  • At least 80% attendance IS REQUIRED.
  • Logbook MUST be completely filled in at the end of the exchange.
  • IFMSA Evaluation Form MUST be filled in by the end of the exchange.

- The majority of our LC's is providing an Upon Arrival Training during summer months (July and August).

The incomings have a possibility to participate in educational activities. The opportunities vary between the LCs and may include surgical skills workshops, BLS and ALS trainings, " how can you write a scientific article?" workshop ,  electrocardiography crash course and MedQuiz.

Calendar Remarks
We accept students only for full calendar months. Accommodation is provided from the first day of the month until the last day of the month. The internship starts on the first monday of the month.

Please keep in mind that each city has its own capacity regarding to the projects and accommodation. You are not guaranteed an internship in your desired city or period. Contact the NORE before sending the AF if you want information on availability.

Unilateral fee (special remarks)
The unilateral fee must be paid upon arrival. Any delay is unacceptable and the exchange can be terminated. In case of cancellation, the sending NMO is obliged to reimburse all the non-returnable expenses we made in order to accommodate the student.

Social Program
We offer a wide range of social programs at our local organizations during summer months (July and August). On weekdays we organise colourful social programs, cultural programs, parties, excursions and on weekends we try to show you other parts of Hungary by travelling to different cities. Our CPs and Local Officers are available every day and they plan many programs that you can choose from.<br />During non-summer months, social program depends on the LC. As we have university during that period, available time could be limited but our students do their best in providing you the best month you can imagine.
Special Remarks
Couples are accepted but it is not guaranteed that they will be accommodated in the same room.

HuMSIRC will not provide accommodation and social programmes for friends and relatives (those who have no living contract). Pets are not allowed.

The internship can be terminated if the LC receives claims from the department for behavioural and/or professional notices. In that case lodging and boarding won’t be guaranteed.

Special Remarks
The AF must be sent 3 months prior to the exchange. Applications for July and August must be sent before MM.

Documents have to be in English or be provided with English translation of the document and in pdf format.

The student must choose three different  cities in preferred order when applying for an exchanges. AF might be sent back for correction if the student fails this criteria.

Special documents
Upon Arrival documents
The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”

Your assigned project might change even after receiving your CA. The LORE will contact you and provide informations about the new project.

Your exchange might be cancelled if you do not send your CC. If you have problem with the database, you can send your CC to the LORE via email.

Special remarks
CAVE: We don't take responsibilities of consequences of late visa applications. Please apply for your visa in time.
Citizens of the EU, the European Economic Area and any third- country citizen holding a residence permit of Schengen do not need visa. Otherwise, students are required to have Schengen Visa so that they can enter the borders of the Schengen Zone. Do not apply for study and working visa! For valid information, check the website of our Consular Services.
HuMSIRC can provide you invitation letters and other documents if required.

Special remarks
As HuMSIRC we only require health insurance however, this insurance CANNOT be arranged in our country, and should be arranged in your home country.
(Health insurance: It covers expenses linked to health issues (if you have to see a doctor and buy drugs on prescription))
The European Health Insurrance Card is also accepted instead of health insurrance but we highly recommend to book insurrance.

Special remarks

You must upload the HuMSIRC Vaccination Card as a 'Vaccination Card' in the Card of Documents. We accept only this format! It has to be signed and stamped by a doctor! You can find and download the document from the link you find below.

- All students have to be vaccinated against polio, tetanus/diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis B, measles, mumps and rubella

- All students need to attach the proof of immunity against tuberculosis. There are 3 combinations which will be accepted as a proof of immunity:
  • the Mantoux test result
  • the proof of BCG vaccination + X-ray result
  • the proof of BCG vaccination + Quantiferon result

The results of the tests cannot be older than 6 months. If you send the AF earlier than that, then you don't have to fill in that part, you can change the document later, within 6 months before the exchange.

In the 'Other 1' document section, please upload a proof of vaccination against CoVID-19.
